Mektoub Doukali, born 28 March 2014, is a young artist living in Frankfurt am Main.

He began drawing and colouring his own styles and characters at the age of 6. His art teachers noticed his talent early on, and many of his first works hang on school walls or are already in private collections.

His work moves between intuition and memory, exploring famous artworks and dreamlike worlds with plenty of humour.

Between VIPs, glamour and the abstraction of depth of field – ambivalence and contradiction

Realistic portraits with bold colours and aesthetic lines characterise the works of Eva Wedemeyer. Her gaze follows a true-to-detail rendering of the human figure in order to capture emotions, moods and feelings. Her most recent series combines realistically painted body parts with abstract forms. Here, the neon-coloured backgrounds heighten the contrast with the photorealistic elements. Her works have been shown at the Galerie Möhler, the Galerie Kühn in Bremen and in London, among other places.

We are delighted to present the exhibition MAGENTA by artist Janina Feis at artodontics:

Minimalism as a foundation for intensity – the inner life of an order fanatic

These contemporary works, clear and orderly yet at the same time intense, reflect the two sides of the artist: „To be creative, I need an environment of extreme order – the sense of control that I give up when I paint. I relish the chaos: colour and mess everywhere, and room for the unpredictable. Within my own four walls I live minimalism in white, grey and beige. But it takes a deliberate disruption of that order, an intensity that breathes life into the minimalism.“

He presents beautiful ballerinas and floral still lifes (acrylic on canvas).

The exhibition titled “Neon-Splash” was on display in our practice from November 2019 to January 2022.
An innovative artist duo from Frankfurt provided us with neon-coloured abstract paintings and sculptures made from plaster models.
